A Year Long Project

So I’ve decided to do something.

As you may or may not know, I am a huge fan of the Animorphs series by K.A. Applegate (and various ghostwriters). I own the entire series – that’s 54 regular books, four Megamorphs, and four Chronicles as well as two non-canon Choose-Your-Own-Adventure type ‘Alternamorphs’. I read it from when I was ten years old to when it finished when I was fifteen. That’s a pretty huge influence in my life.

For the past few years I have wanted to do a year-long read-along. I wanted to start a special blog back in 2011 (projectanimorphs.com), but I had way too many other books to read. I really, really wanted to start the re-read in 2012, but I still had too many new releases to read (which I haven’t got round to yet, shame.) So I promised myself I’d start in 2014, once I’d gotten through all those other books in 2013.

I’ve been putting it off for too long. If I don’t start now, I won’t do it. We’re only in the second week of the 2013 New Year. I can catch up, and then have a new review every week for the whole year. Ambitious, I know, but the books rarely go over 200 pages and I’ve read them all multiple times by now.

So I’m going to do it, and it’s going to be fun and awesome. My first review (#1: The Invasion) will be up on Thursday and I’ll be sneaking in other reviews until I’m caught up. In the meantime, check out this awesome banner I made:
