Absolutely loved Shadow and Bone! I read it last month and fully intend on reading the rest of the Grisha Trilogy now. I also read Storm Siren last year and thought that was pretty good as well.

A bunch of books on your list are also on my TBR pile / wishlist, too. The Girl of Fire and Thorns, Finnikin of the Rock, Daughter of the Forest… I’ve also been meaning to read more of Tamora Pierce’s work.

Haven’t heard of Dragonswood before, so I’m reading the synopsis on Goodreads now. It sounds pretty good! I’m currently writing an epic fantasy novel with life-size fairy characters, so I’ve been looking for novels like this for comparison purposes.

I’ve been meaning to read Storm Siren – the author sent me a signed copy! But I’m so so scared I’m not going to love it. I know, I’ve put it on a pedestal! I should just bite the bullet and read it ASAP!

I’m glad I helped you find a book for your research!

Ahhh. Shadow and Bone is the one I really need to get too. It hasn’t got too much hype like some of the other YA books but I definitely have heard really good things about it and I can’t wait to get my hands on it! The others are all new to me but The Girl of Fire and Thorns looks interesting so I might have to look into that one :3 You’ve got a wonderful list here!

    Here’s my Top Ten

I could never commit to a TBR jar. I’d pick out a book and go, Nah, I don’t want to read that right now.

I’ve only actually read one of these – Terrier, but I really liked it. A few of these are on my to read list, but I know exactly what you mean about not enough time. As for the rest of them…you’ve got several books on this list that I’ve never even heard of, so I’m off to read abut them. Hope you enjoy these books once you finally have time to read them.

Actually I tried listening to the audiobook of Finnikin, but it was too heavy and involved for me to concentrate on my work, so I had to give it up and find a physical copy.
