Stacking The Shelves (4)

STSmall

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It’s all about sharing the books we’ve picked up for the week, whether they are bought, borrowed, gifted, galleys, physical or virtual.
Share your shelves and remember to visit Tynga’s Reviews where it all started to find more great books!

This week I picked up:

Purchased

Allegiance (Legacy, #2)

I have two rules for buying books. Do not buy based on the cover, and DO NOT, ON PAIN OF DEATH buy a sequel if I have not yet read the first book (because of what happened with Fallen and Torment, purchased eagerly and then consumed miserably. Unless it’s an accident, like the time I accidentally bought Book 3 of a trilogy because the blurb didn’t indicate it was a continuation of a series.) I am also a little wary because Legacy was first self-published and doesn’t have the best reviews from my Goodreads friends.
Well, I saw this book. I saw that cover. I kind of lost my mind a little. I hope I love it!

Library

Angel & Faith: Live Through This Pt. 1 (Angel & Faith, #1)

I am a huge Buffy and Angel fan – in fact, I am re-watching the whole series together right now. I’d like to know what happens after the TV shows end.

ARC

Falling Kingdoms (Falling Kingdoms, #1)

I was so surprised when Penguin Books Australia approved me to review this book.  I’ve wanted it ever since I read that amazing blurb.

The Darkest Minds

Bracken’s Brightly Woven has been on my mind forever – I so desperately want it. In the meantime, I will have to suffice with this.

Entangled (Spellbound #1)

This sounds so interesting and yet so understated. I’m hoping it’s a hidden gem.

What's Left of Me (The Hybrid Chronicles, #1)

After reading my friend Stephanie’s review on Goodreads, I had to get my hands on this. HarperCollins Australia love me, and I love them. It’s a great big love fest.
