This week’s topic:

If you could choose your three favourite book covers, what would they be and why?

Only three?

Three?

You’re killing me.

Considering I’m a sucker for your generic ‘pretty white girl in a prom dress‘ YA covers, I’m surprised the three I managed to pick as my current three favourite covers don’t meet my usual criteria:

Winter Queen (Fairy Queens, #1)

I love the use of colours and the highlighted wings.

Words Once Spoken

I love the use of colours as I’m particularly attracted to purple, and the use of the warrior woman on the cover sans face (self-insertion thus available), and the fonts used. I just love this cover.

Perfect Ruin (Internment Chronicles, #1)

I love the use of colour, the clouds around floating Internment, and Morgan’s profile, even if there’s something not quite right about her gorgeous face. I love the font choices, too. DeStefano is so lucky with her covers.

I have way more than just three favourite covers. Check out my ‘beautiful covers’ shelf on Goodreads for others covers I adore.

Gorgeous covers. The first one with the wings is my fave – and great idea about the “beautiful covers” shelf on Goodreads. I’ve been trying to get a bit more creative with my shelves.

The covers are so pretty, great choices! The girl in the Perfect Ruin kinda looks like Diana Agron, no? It’s on my TBR and I’m quite excited to read if after I finish my Banned Books Week Selection 🙂
