This week I’m eagerly waiting on:

Allegiant (Divergent, #3)

Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth

Expected publication:   October 22 2013

Publisher: HarperCollins

From Goodreads:

One choice will define you.

What if your whole world was a lie?
What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

I’ve been postponing reading Insurgent (argh) because I want to read the two back-to-back. My impatience and procrastination are working together for once 😀 Thanks for sharing!

I thought so too. As for Insurgent, I think it was just me, because what I did read, I really liked. I don’t know what happened. I think I was frustrated with a scene and set it down and by the time I went back to it, I just wanted to start it from the beginning.

I’ve only recently read Divergent, couldn’t stand the shame anymore of being the only one who didn’t know it. 😉 Now, I understand all the hype. Great pick!

    Here’s my WoW!

I’m so glad you understand the hype! May I ask why you held out for so long? I haven’t found the time to read Book 2 yet!

You know, Bree! Books take time to produce. I hope you’re first in line at the bookstore! Me? Well, I have to read Book 2 first…

I’m really looking forward to the film, too. it looks really good visually and like it will appeal to people who haven’t read the book.

I can’t wait for this! I have had my copy ordered since March and I checked the library for the heck of it and there is 204 people on a list for 37 books. Me thinks everyone wants it. 🙂

Wowser, that’s a lot of people! Do you happen to know if that is a bigger waiting list than Fifty Shades of Grey? I expect my library might be the same – it’s the kind of book I’ll bypass the library and buy it outright!
