In 1814, three cousins-Gretchen, Emma, and Penelope-discover their unknown family lineage of witchcraft. Beyond the familiar manicured gardens and ballrooms of Regency London, a dangerous, alluring new underworld visible only to those with power is now open to the cousins.
But unbeknownst to them, by claiming their power, the three cousins have inadvertently opened the gates to the Underworld.
Now the dead, ghouls, hellhounds-and the most terrifying of all: the spirits of dark witches known as the Greymalkin Sisters-are hunting and killing young debutante witches for their powers.
And, somehow, Emma is connected to the murders…because she keeps finding the bodies.
Can the cousins unravel the clues and mystery behind their heritage and power before their gifts are stripped away …or even worse, another witch is killed?
I love the idea of mixing the 19th century with the paranormal, and I’m quite intrigued by the idea of these three cousin-witches. It sounds a lot like Charmed in the Regency era, and as a teen I was quite into Charmed. We’ll see!

I got a Breath of Frost as well. It was the cover that sucked me in but it actually sounds really really interesting. I’m definitely going to have to read it soon! Hopefully I’ll get to it during the Bout of books read-a-thon.

I don’t think the cover is particularly pretty, I was intrigued by regency-era witches!

I’ve never heard of this one.. it looks really good and that cover is beautiful. 🙂
It’s pretty new, I didn’t hear of it until I looked on Netgalley.
I love that there is a kitty in your stacking the shelves pic!!! LOVE!!! I always wanted to watch Charmed but never did. I wonder if it’s on Netflix? I just started Supernatural and am almost done with season 1. Binging on Netflix is sooo fun!

Kitty says hi! *prrt prrt*
I recommend skipping Season 8 of Charmed, it’s just rubbish. Australia doesn’t get Netflix so I couldn’t tell you if it’s on there or not.
