For Review:
Paige Kelly is used to weird–in fact, she probably corners the market on weird, considering that her best friend, Dottie, has been dead since the 1950s. But when a fire demon attacks Paige in detention, she has to admit that things have gotten out of her league. Luckily, the cute new boy in school, Logan Bradley, is a practiced demon slayer-and he isn’t fazed by Paige’s propensity to chat with the dead. Suddenly, Paige is smack in the middle of a centuries-old battle between warlocks and demons, learning to fight with a magic sword so that she can defend herself. And if she makes one wrong move, she’ll be pulled into the Dark World, an alternate version of our world that’s overrun by demons-and she might never make it home.
Australia gets the prettiest covers sometimes! ๐ I’m totally in love with this blurb! Thank you, Harlequin Australia!
Purchased:
Charity Evans wants nothing more than to leave her troubled past behind and start afresh. The teacher at a London school for orphans is encouraged to have her memories blocked by hypnotist Samuel Gladstone, but when they experience visions with an unknown third person, they realize the past can never be truly erased.
Now her past is returning to haunt Charity all over again.
Samuel is determined to help her, but how can a woman who trusts no man trust a hypnotist? And what dark secrets changed the charming gentleman into a desperate man who’ll do anything to keep those secrets buried?
CJ Archer is one of the best, if not THE best self-publisher I’ve ever read. Her amazing book The Wrong Girl: Book 1 of the First Freak House trilogy was my favourite book of 2013. This is the first book in the Second Freak House trilogy, and it’s temporarily on sale for only .99 cents on all major book sites.

I got The Dark World this week as well! I totally didn’t realise what it was until I saw your post. Then I realised that the US cover would be different and I Googled it. I don’t know why I never made the connection. I hope you enjoy!

Australian covers are often – but not always – different to US covers. Our version is really pretty, but really has nothing at all to do with the novel. I don’t think the main character even wears a dress, let alone a white one!
