Page to Screen is a new original feature I’m experimenting with where I talk about film adaptations of YA books.
Not exactly a Young Adult book today, and also not exactly recent news, but I only just found out and I thought it was cool so I wanted to share with everyone.

This is a BBC adaptation of Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights released in 2009. I loved it. Wuthering Heights is my favourite classic novel (for the record I don’t think it’s romantic at all) and I loved this interpretation of it.

These are the leads, Tom Hardy (of Inception/Dark Knight Rises fame) as Heathcliff and Charlotte Riley as Cathy.

Tom and Charlotte met on the set of Wuthering Heights where they played forbidden/doomed lovers Heathcliff and Cathy.
They started dating and were engaged in 2010.
They were married in July of this year in a low-key ceremony in and 18th century castle in Provence, France.
I’m not a huge Hardy fan so you won’t see me shedding tears over this. However, I do think it is incredibly romantic that they found love on the set of a classic novel adaptation and ended up married.
Swoon!
How romantic is that?
