Top Ten Authors I REALLY Want To Meet
Lauren DeStefano – I adored her Chemical Gardens trilogy and I want to hang out in her beautiful house and play with her cats and she can teach me to crochet. It’ll be totally casual, we can even wear pyjamas.
Garth Nix – One of my Australian heroes, I’d love to meet up for a coffee and just talk books and publishing.
Maria V Snyder – Can I kidnap her and keep her in my dungeon?
Richelle Mead – If she ever had a spare moment from powering through, like, two books a year, I’d love to spend an afternoon with her.
Mary Weber – I just totes wanna hang with this adorbs author and her Wolverine hubby. We could practice throwing ninja stars.
Shirley Marr – I’d love to meet up for a chat with Shirley, even though she’s been on hiatus since giving birth to a beautiful baby boy.
Heather Dixon – Heather is hilarious. I want to take a tour of her animation studio and her writing room and we’ll have a sleepover and spill popcorn everywhere watching Mary Poppins. I just adore her.
Alexandra Bracken – I’d love to help brainstorm the next thing she’s got on the horizon.
CJ Archer – I want to have a coffee with this phenomenally talented lady and we can talk all things Freak House nad historical fiction.
Jodi Meadows – I want to swoon over hot boys with her. Is that so wrong?

I recommend DeStefano’s Chemical Gardens trilogy, anything by Snyder, anything by Dixon (even her blog!), the Old Kingdom trilogy by Nix, Marr’s debut book Fury, anything by Archer but preferably something YA, and Weber’s Storm Siren. I’ve only read the first part of Meadows’ The Orphan Queen but I did love it and want to read her other trilogy. I also adore Mead’s Vampire Academy and spin-off Bloodlines and haven’t read her adult series. And although I own Bracken’s fantasy book, I haven’t read it yet, so I do recommend her dystopian The Darkest Minds.
