Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
It’s all about bookish lists!

This is actually a FREEBIE Top Ten and I’ve decided to go with the following list:
Top Ten Fictional Families I’d Like to Celebrate Thanksgiving With
Being Australian, I’m not quite sure what Thanksgiving is. Most of my knowledge of Thanksgiving comes from The Addams Family Values.
As far as I’m aware, it’s giving thanks to the Native Americans for welcoming the pilgrims before they were all murdered, and you gather with family to stuff yourself full of yummy, rich food a month before Christmas when you’ll do it all again.
That being said, I’ve seen some depictions of Thanksgiving in imported US TV shows, so here are the ten families I’d most like to sit down with, have a great meal and a good talk and just enjoy life. Just pretending the non-US families are celebrating Thanksgiving for whatever reason.
The extended Weasley family
I’m talking about three generations here, Molly and Arthur plus their children, in-laws, and grandchildren. Imagine how big that table would have to be! But the food would be SO EPIC. Imagine everything in the Harry Potter books but with the greatest family of redheads surrounding you. and I could answer all of Arthur’s Muggle questions.
The Vampire Academy family
(Vampire Academy + Bloodlines)
Including, but not limited to, Rose, Dimitri, Lissa, Christian, Sydney, Adrian, Jill, Eddie, and anyone I’ve forgotten who would make an epic party out of this. Blood would be offered to the Moroi but there would be a wicked feast available for the dhampirs and humans.
The royal family from Entwined
Including Azalea and her eleven sisters, their husbands, and the king. I suspect this dinner would be more like a ball, but because they’re not a rich royal family, nor American, the food might be quite a bit different. However the socialising would be great and there would be some epic dancing afterwards!
The Study Series family
Including Yelena and Valek, Ari, Janco, Commander Ambrose, Irys, and Yelena’s family from Sitia. It would be an outdoor affair on the border of No Man’s Land.
Graceling Realms ‘family’
At the end of Bitterblue, when Fire reappears. I’d imagine this fictional Thanksgiving would be something akin to a large celebration and would include Katsa and Po and his cousins, Fire and her delegates and whoever’s still alive, and Bitterblue and her little cobbled together family.
The Abhorsen family
Sabriel and Touchstone and their children Sam and Ellimere, with Lirael and Mogget for good luck. And the Dog as well, because everyone loves her and she’s eat all the scraps.
The Hunger Games family post-Hunger Games
Katniss and her family AND NO ONE WOULD GO HUNGRY.
The ‘family’ of Friends pre-2002
Because this is where I learned the most about Thanksgiving and the food Monica cooked always looked SO TASTY.
The Firefly gang pre-Serenity.
Because they always have a good time when they’re all together and I want to be a part of that, even if the food is just different kinds of space proteins and not actually real food. Also, spaceships! IN SPACE!
The Animorphs
Before it all went to shit, obviously. Tobias and Ax would morph to human, and Ax would try to eat everything, including the napkins, and Marco would crack all the jokes and Cassie would stop the food fight and Rachel would continue to look magnificent even when everyone is wearing pumpkin in their hair.

Yeah, I’m just not quite sure I understand the concept and what it has to do with the pilgrims and eating as much as you do on Christmas Day.

I certainly think it would be entertaining to spend some time with these families! 🙂

Think of all the shenanigans!

LOL I love the Addams Family Values. Now that thanksgiving song they sing during the play is going to be stuck in my head. 😛
And 100 times yes to the Firefly gang (pre-Serenity).

“EAT ME!”
Of course the Firefly gang is pre-Serenity because then Joss went and screwed everything up by tearing my babies apart.
Tori @ InToriLex
The Adam’s family would definitely be a great time! Have a Happy Thanksgiving! Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday

I’m not actually sure I agree, I think I’d be afraid of Wednesday trying to poison me and Gomez accidentally chopping my hand when the turkey came back to life thanks to Grandmama and ran around the table.
Veronika
Spending any kind of holiday with the Weasleys would be SO MUCH FUN! I absolutely love the way they were able to maintain a cheerful mood and truly celebrate the holidays even in the darkest of times. Would absolutely LOVE to spend time with the VA characters! They were one awesome group of friends – same is true about the Bloodlines characters!
Amazing list!
Nemo
The Weasleys really are an inspiration as a family. #squadgoals

Definitely the Weasley’s, there would never be a dull moment! Fred and George causing mischief and the awesome jumpers that Mrs Weasley knits!!! I can imagine her making a great meal too haha 😀 Here is my TTT post @ Emma’s Bookery ,of Ten Authors I’m Thankful For if you would like to check it out! Hope you’re having a great week so far! 😀 xx

Molly might even be so kind as to teach us some of those spells she uses to keep her household running and feed that growing family of hers! Wouldn’t that be special?
