September Wrap Up

month 09 16

News

Today just happens to be the day of the Australian Football League’s Grand Final, for which Tanieka and I have absolutely zero interest, being from the kind of forgotten states – she of the west and I of the south. But for the rest of Australia, it’s an excuse to get drunk like yobbos and eat hot meat pies and scream your lungs out barracking for whichever team you pick. See, in Tasmania, we chose who we barrack for, because we don’t have an official team of our own in the League. Sure, the Hawks try to rename themselves ‘Tassie Hawks’ whenever they come down to play locally but everyone knows their home base is in Hawthorne, nice try guys, you’re not fooling anyone. On the mainland its different, you barrack for the team that represents where you live, or where you grew up as a child.

Enough about football! No one cares!

This month and next month I’m taking part in the Booklikes Halloween Bingo 2016. I had a really slow start because I had to finish some books I’d started reading before September before I could join in. Here’s my progress so far!

I have read a grand total of FOUR books and am nowhere near getting a bingo!

Other than that, I don’t have much news to report on. I haven’t been to see a sleep specialist about my sleep apnea yet because I’ve been focusing on trying to get more hours of sleep, which means I’m going to bed super early and still waking up at least four or five times during the night.

Nemo

I didn’t actually buy any books in September. I found it was a realy big month for review copies! I don’t think I’ve ever had so many in the one month, and I can’t wait to dive into them! Weirdly enough, I also got two finished copies for two ARCs I got as well!
