Stacking the Shelves (137)

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
It’s all about sharing the books we’ve picked up for the week, whether they are bought, borrowed, gifted, galleys, physical or virtual.
Share your shelves and remember to visit Tynga’s Reviews where it all started to find more great books!

 Bought

I haven’t bought any books since mid February and I think this was my chance to catch up.

I will always be into YA fantasy where the girl lead has some kind of elemental magic. And I adore the idea of the Not Chosen One.

I enjoyed Truthwitch enough to purchase its sequel, though I’m no longer enamoured as I once was. The worldbuilding is complicated and haphazardly explained, but I still love the idea of the female BFFs.

Yeah, I’ve heard that the all the books in this trilogy basically copy the script of the film with no amount of imagination until the moment of the twist, but come on, it’s Beauty and the Beast!

I love stories about teen witches. I was a big fan of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Charmed, although those women obviously were in their twenties, not teens. And I especially love stories about witches who aren’t in full control of their magic.

The sequel was there, so I bought it.
