I’m not a huge Hocking fan. I gave up on the first Trylle book on the very first page, or thereabouts. However I am interested in women warriors and this one sounds interesting enough to give it a shot.

I’ve heard a lot of really good things about this mysterious series The Raven Cycle, and I do adore Maggie Stiefvater’s writing even if this series didn’t really appeal to me, but since I got a book voucher, and since I already own the first and fourth books in the series (one was a bargain bin find, one was an unsolicited review copy) I figured I’d purchase the two I didn’t have in case I wanted to binge read the series.

This is the third version of the Harry Potter series my husband and I have. Between us we own the adult paperbacks in a chest, the ebooks from Pottermore, and now we’re collecting the Jim Kay illustrated editions for our hypothetical future children.
