Top Ten Popular Books that Lived Up to the Hype

Honestly, I don’t spend enough time on social media to find out what’s being hyped and what’s not until I finish the book and check out Goodreads for the info I need. I don’t read that many ARCs compared to other ARC reviewers and I’m not really aware of what’s being hyped. Add to that, this is my opinion of books that I loved and later found out a lot of very vocal reviewers did too.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two (Harry Potter, #8)

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by JK Rowling et al

I did read this but I did not review it – a planned group review never happened and now I cba.

And sure, you could argue that the book/play did NOT live up to the hype but come on, the hype for this was HUGE, nothing could ever possibly have lived up to THAT… but I still enjoyed it.

Truthwitch (The Witchlands, #1)

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead

Divergent (Divergent, #1)

Divergent by Veronica Roth

No review, but I remember the hype. Hype for this hadn’t been seen since the later Harry Potter or Twilight novels.

Ruined by Amy Tintera

Was this hyped? I feel like this was hyped.
