This week I’m eagerly waiting on:
The Enchanted Sonata by Heather Dixon Wallwork
Expected publication: 23 October 2019
(I know it’s past this date but I’m just TOO excited for this, and I have to wait for my order to be delivered)
Publisher: The Wallworkshop
From Goodreads:
Clara Stahlbaum has her future perfectly planned: to marry the handsome pianist, Johann Kahler (ah!) and settle down to a life full of music. But all that changes on Christmas Eve, when Clara receives a mysterious and magical nutcracker.
Whisked away to his world—an enchanted empire of beautiful palaces, fickle fairies, enormous rats, and a prince—Clara must face a magician who uses music as spells…and the future she thought she wanted.
The Enchanted Sonata, a retelling of The Nutcracker Ballet with a dash of The Pied Piper, will captivate readers of all ages.
Why I’m eagerly awaiting…
I tried to remain composed when I saw Dixon’s announcement but I’m afraid I actually screamed. Dixon is one of my very favourite of all time authors and I’ve been waiting for this book for years! I absolutely love her writing and I’m so glad she’s tackling another fairytale – hopefully there are a few similarities to Entwined, which is my favourite book of all time
