Something Rotten! was on Broadway from 2015-2017, and it’s based on the fictional Bottom brothers Nick and Nigel, as they compete with a megastar Shakespeare for an audience on England’s fair stage set in 1595. It’s absolutely hilarious, and Christian Borle won the Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Musical in 2015.
