Despite Project Animorphs in 2013, I clearly do not talk about Animorphs enough.
This particular challenge is taken from the Heck Yeah Tumblr Challenges archive on Tumblr.

Day 14: What would you choose for a battle morph?

I like to think of my idealised self as a cross between Rachel and Jake (in reality I’m probably closer to a Cassie/Tobias). I’d want Rachel’s fearlessness and Jake’s clear-thinking ability. So I’d want something powerful and deadly and strong, much like a cross between Rachel’s bear and Jake’s tiger.

I’d probably choose the male lion if there weren’t such a stigma against that. Of course, I’m no David, so no one would have to worry about that. And true, James ended up choosing the lion as well. I love the idea of kind of being a mascot, too, because that mane is so lush and beautiful. The lion represents strength and nobility and values the pride.

After the disaster of using cheetahs, I’d probably pass on them. A leopard has neither the strength nor endurance of a lion or tiger, as leopards stalk and drop onto their prey, generally not chasing them down.

So okay, my answer is the full-grown African male lion.
