Stacking the Shelves (159)

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.
It’s all about sharing the books we’ve picked up for the week, whether they are bought, borrowed, gifted, galleys, physical or virtual.
Share your shelves and remember to visit Tynga’s Reviews where it all started to find more great books!

For Review

Thanks to Pan Macmillan Australia for inviting me to be part of this blog tour in February! I absolutely adored Sara Barnard’s debut novel, Beautiful Broken Things, although I didn’t much feel like reading her second novel because I believe it was more about a boy-girl romance than girl-girl best friends, I think she’s back to that in this one, and I’m eager to read it. Barnard writes teenage female friendship like she’s looking into my heart before ripping it apart.

Farrer Straus & Giroux invited me to read this since I read and enjoyed After the Woods, and I notice a certain similarity with the above author Sara Barnard in that I loved Barnard’s debut novel, didn’t want to read Barnard’s second novel, and now am reading to review her third and with Kim Savage I really enjoyed her debut novel, didn’t really enjoy her second novel, and now I really want to read her third one.
