Book Blogger Confessions #6

Book Blogger Confessions is a meme every 1st and 2nd Monday hosted by Karen from For What It’s Worth and the Midnyte Reader.
It’s where book bloggers “confess” and vent about topics that are unique to us.
Feel free to share, vent and offer solutions, and remember to visit For What It’s Worth or the Midnyte Reader for other confessions!

This week’s confession:

Happy 2013! What are your blogging goals for the new year? Are you making any changes or testing out new ideas for reviews or organization? Have you joined any challenges?
What are the trends you noticed in blogging from 2012 and what do you hope to see for the blogging community in 2013?

My original blogging goals for 2013 included setting up a Facebook page and joining Twitter to give people more options to follow, but I ended up doing that a couple of weeks ago. My new goal is to reach 200 followers. Seeing as how I’ve managed to accumulate over 60 since I started in June of last year I think that’s feasible.

My reviews will stay the same. My basic blog structure will stay the same so long as the memes serve my needs and continue to entertain me. I’d love to have people guest post so I guess I better get networking!

I haven’t joined any challenges yet and I doubt I will, because I like the complete freedom of doing whatever the heck I feel like. The idea of the Goodreads Reading Challenge alone makes me anxious, although I’m off to a good start.

As for trends and what I want for the blogging community in 2013? Well, I’d love it if everyone stopped attacking reviewers for having opinions. That’d be swell.
