Day 22: Favourite book you own

Apart from my several treasured author-signed books, my actual favourite book is

Entwined by Heather Dixon

There was something so sweet and innocent about this retelling of the Twelve Dancing Princesses fairy tale. I loved the plot and pacing, couldn’t get enough of the characters, each of whom has distinct characterisation, and I simply adored the narrative voice and use of onomatopoeia and sound effects. Upon finishing this book I was on a book high for 4 months. That’s the longest a book high has ever lasted.

I haven’t reviewed this book because I read it before I started my blog, but I do want to re-read and give a full review at some stage in the near future.
