 Gifted

My husband and I were really racking our brains as to what to give each other for Christmas until I found a box set of the first four Throne of Glass novels. Although I’m not Celaena’s biggest fan, I really loved A Court of Thorns and Roses and I am DETERMINED to find something redeeming about this series. Also, I find the white background on these covers rather striking.

I also got a book shop gift card for Christmas!

I want to love them, I really do, but Celaena just drives me INSANE. She’s just so tragically beautiful and beautifully tragic. UGH! But I loved A Court of Thorns and Roses and everyone says the Throne of Glass books get better, so owning them gives me a chance to attempt, once again, to see what everyone else sees.

Well, I didn’t really like the first one and I couldn’t even finish the novellas, so hopefully you like it more than me.

I love the UK covers so much more than the US ones! I really liked Throne of Glass, but have yet to read the rest of the series. I still haven’t checked out ACOTAR though I do own a copy that I won a while back. Happy reading!

ACOTAR was surprisingly good, considering how much of a problem I had with Throne of Glass, which thankfully wasn’t reproduced. I agree, the UK covers are super pretty.
