Top Ten Books On My Winter Summer TBR
It’s summertime! Actually some parts of Australia have just been through a heat wave of a week’s worth of over 25 degrees, and it’s about 13 degrees hotter than the average for this time of the year. Also, my air conditioning has been broken for like a month and we have to wait to get a new one installed. YAY SUMMER!
This week I’m listing my top ten books on my SUMMER reading list!
Midnight Jewel (Glittering court #2) by Richelle Mead
I really enjoyed the first book and I’ve been wanting to get to the sequel for a while now. I hope I enjoy it as much as the first!
Avenged (Ruined #2) by Amy Tintera
I owe a review on this one and since I loved Ruined so much I’m pretty sure I’m going to love this one.
The Silver Brumby by Elyne Mitchell
This is a book I read every summer since I was a kid, it’s fairly short so I should be OK. I’m hugely nostalgic about it.
Wuthering Heights by Charlotte Bronte
Wuthering Heights is my other yearly read and I’m hoping I can find it in my books in storage because even though I don’t like the main characters at all, it’s a book I absolutely adore and one of my all-time favourites.
Roar by Cora Carmack
I bought this for my birthday months ago and I’ve been super keen to get into it, I’ve just been having such a bad reading year that while I really want to read it I also kinda don’t. So I’m hoping to get to it this summer.
Counting Stars by Keris Stainton
I won this in a giveaway and it resonates with me because I lived in the same city it’s set in and I’d love to relive my years there, as tough as they were.
The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli
This is another giveaway win and I really want to get into it because of the badassness of the main character.
The Waking Land by Callie Bates
This was a book that I fell in love with after reading the blurb so I hope it’s as good as it sounds.
Trapped in Silver by Emily Sowden
This is another book I couldn’t stop thinking about when I read its blurb so I bought it and it’s been waiting until I feel better to read it. Sorry, book.
Begin, End, Begin edited by Danielle Binks
I seriously need to get into this. It’s short stories by Aussie YA authors, and I think shot stories would be good for me right now and I also want to read more authors I’ve not experienced before.
Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them? Let me know in the comments below!
