This week’s topic:
How many books do you own (keepers) and how many are in your to-be-read pile? Feel free to include pictures!
Oh gosh. How many books do I own? This is a difficult one to answer because I have piles upon piles packed away in my garage. I have bunches tucked away in my wardrobe. And I have two little shelves next to my bed. Overflowing. I swear I’m like a book magnet.
According to my stats on Goodreads, I have 500+ books in my to-reads list. Currently 122 of those I claim ownership of, although I certainly haven’t got all of my books on Goodreads. Unfortunately that number includes the random books I know I own and want to re-read, not just the stuff I can physically see. I am waiting until I move to a bigger place and can shelve them all to add everything I own to Goodreads, so those stats aren’t entirely accurate.
Currently on my little bedside table, which is dedicated entirely to the books I want to read next, I have this many:
Bitterblue (Graceling Realm #3) by Kristen Cashore
Arise (Hereafter #2) by Tara Hudson
Insurgent (Divergent #2) by Veronica Roth
Spark (Sky Chasers #2) by Amy Kathleen Ryan
Brightly Woven by Alexandra Bracken
Legacy, Allegiance and Sacrifice (reverse order) by Cayla Kruver
The Dark and Hollow Places (The Forest of Hands and Teeth #3) by Carrie Ryan.
What you can’t see behind Bitterblue is Seraphina by Rachel Hartman and a Vampire Academy guide by Michelle Rowen
Pretty Little Liars, Flawless and Perfect by Sara Shepard
Everneath (Everneath #1) by Brodi Ashton
Blood Red Road (Dust Roads #1) by Moira Young
The Poison Diaries (Poison Diaries #1) by Maryrose Wood
Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky #1) by Veronica Rossi
Sisters Red (Fairytale Retellings #1) by Jackson Pearce
Ultraviolet (Ultraviolet #1) by RJ Anderson
Prophecy of the Sisters, Guardian of the Gate, Circle of Fire (reverse order) by Michelle Zink
Destiny’s Path and Rhiannon of the Spring (reverse order) by Allen Frewyn Jones
The Silver Brumby by Elyne Mitchell
The bad thing? This is stuff I’ve only bought this year.
The other bad thing? Each of these books makes me so excited that I can never choose which one to read next, and often end up reading a library book or an e-book, which doesn’t help my situation.
