Buy Borrow Burn (18)

banner buy borrow burn

Welcome to Young Adult At Heart’s original feature Buy Borrow Burn.
It’s a fun game based on Snog Marry Avoid/Marry Kiss Kill.
If we had unlimited funds, which cover would be the one we’d buy*, borrow, or burn**?
*This is completely subjective and my favourite cover may not be yours.
**In no way do we wish to insult anyone and no, we wouldn’t actually ‘burn’ the book, this is completely hypothetical.

Let me know which book cover you’d Buy Borrow or Burn!

This week’s book covers:

Insurgent (Divergent #2) by Veronica Rossi

Buy

Insurgent (Divergent, #2)

HarperCollins 2012

My favourite colour is purple, so I love this cover. I love the use of silhouette and where the teaser text is placed and the font choices. I even like the leaves, and although I can read into the obvious metaphor I can’t recall if leaves are a metaphor in this book. It doesn’t matter, I think it’s really pretty and in fact this is the version that I own.

Borrow

19203179

Italian 2013

I like the weird tree and the font choices and I even like the people in silhouette, except I wish it was more silhouette-y and we couldn’t see their features because it looks like Four has a really weird brow and sporting weird facial hair and Tris has a weird haircut. But apart from that I like the colours, too.

Burn

26080253

Arabic 2015

I don’t know, I just can’t even find the words for this. Using the actress from the film as the book cover model but then doing extra stuff and the mix of font colours and background doesn’t work and I just hate it. Burn it. BURN IT NOW.

Honourable Mention

18407011

Serbian 2013

What is this, The Maze Runner?!

Which out of these three covers would you buy, borrow, or burn?
