Top Ten Characters I’d Name a Pet After

(submitted by Nushu @ Not A Prima Donna Girl)

While I already have 3 cats named with literature themes, if I were to get any more, or maybe a dog, I would definitely consider the following:

  1. Katniss from The Hunger Games by Susan Collins
  2. Lyra from Navigating the Stars by Maria V Snyder
  3. Valek from Poison Study by Maria V Snyder
  4. Shyla from The Eyes of Tamburah by Maria V Snyder
  5. Zara from Honor Among Thieves by Rachel Caine and Ann Aguirre
  6. Buck from Call of the Wild by Jack London
  7. Tilly (Matilda) from Matilda by Roald Dahl
  8. Tea (pronounced tee-ah) from The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco
  9. Evie (pronounced and spelled Eevee like the Pokemon) from The Diviners by Libba Bray
  10. Ruby from The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
